Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Clause 01The plain answer

DHL Carpet & Water Damage Restoration does not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for targeted advertising. No data broker, marketing list or anybody who would use it for their own purposes ever receives it. We have never done any of this and we have no plan to.

This page says where we stand and gives you a working way to tell us what you want.

Clause 02What sell and share mean

Privacy laws use these two words in a specific way. To sell personal information means to hand it to another company in exchange for money or for anything else of value. To share personal information means to give it to another company for targeted advertising, meaning advertising chosen for you from what you did on other websites and apps.

Sending your estimate request to our own inbox, giving the address to the technician who is driving to your property, or passing the drying documentation to a party you asked us to send it to is not selling and is not sharing. Those companies and people work for us or for you, may use the information only for the job in hand, and are not permitted to use it for anything else.

Clause 03What you can ask us to do

You can ask us at any time to:

We answer these requests within 45 days, we do not charge for them, and we do not treat you differently for making one.

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy of it.
• Correct it.
• Delete it, except for a record we are required to keep, such as a paid invoice, which we will name for you.
• Stop any text, call or email from us.
• Turn off analytics and session recording for your browser.
• Remove a photograph of your property or a quotation from your Google review.

Clause 04How to tell us what you want

Choose whichever is easiest:

We confirm that we received the request within two business days and answer within 45 days. Where we need to check that you are the right person, we contact you at the number or the address already on your record. If we refuse any part of a request we explain why, and you can ask us to look again by replying to that answer. Somebody else may make a request for you, for example a family member, if they can show they have your permission.

• Write to privacy@dhlcarpetrestoration.com with Privacy request in the subject line and say what you want done. Include the phone number or the email address you used with us so that we can find the record.
• Call (908) 520-8698 and say you have a privacy request. We confirm it in writing.

Clause 05Website tracking choices

This site sets no analytics cookie and no session recording cookie until you turn that category on in the consent slip. Both start off and neither is used for advertising. You can reopen the slip at any time from the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, accept everything, refuse everything, or open manage choices and take one category without the other. Our Cookie Policy names every cookie.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, there is nothing on this site for it to switch off, because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. If that ever changes, we will honor the signal.
